30 Minutes To Crafts

A collection of crafting projects made under 30 minutes
TOKYO MINI BOOK

Prep: 10 Mins Crafting Time: 20 mins Tot:30 mins

 

Step 1: Gather all your travel photos, all your favourite embellishments, 2 kraft cardstocks, twine, motex labeller(if any) or font stickers, a stapler and tombo glue roller (10 mins or less)

Step 2: Take a Kraft Cardstock, fold it in half and cut it 4x10 inches for the minibook cover. Scor two lines measuring 1cm each from the first middle line (see next page)

Step 3: Punch two holes 3.5 cm from the top and the bottom of the minibook cover. 

Step 4: Cut strips of Kraft cardstock 1.5x10inches, fold them in half and scor two lines measuring 1cm each from the middle line. and poke holes the same way as the minibook cover(see next page)

Step 5: Secure the minibook by tying with a twine all the strips together to the minibook cover

Step 6: Start putting your photos and embellishments together- Randomly staple the ticket stubs, photos, trinkets and journaling cards

Step 7: Journal and you should be done within 20 mins

Fake a Midori Insert

Prep: 5 Mins Crafting Time: 25 mins Tot:30 mins 

 

Step 1: Gather your supplies: 1 piece of Kraft Cardstock. 10 pieces of White Cardstocks, Stapler, Pencil, Ruler, Photo Trimmer, Scor Board (if any) - Slide 2

Step 2: Start by creating the cover - Take the Kraft Cardstock, measure and cut it to 22cm (H) by 24cm (W) (Fold and Scor it into half) - See Slide 3

Step 3: Take the white cardstock, measure and cut it it to 21cm (H) by 22cm (W) (Fold and Scor it into half) See Slide 3

Step 4: Put together the Kraft cardstock and the white cardstock as seen on Slide 5 - Take 4 binder clips and clip it at every sides. 

Step 5: The Kraft cover facing you -Slide 4 - measure 6 cm at each end for stapling

Step 6: Take your humble stapler (the bigger the better) - Staple it where the 6cm starts..When stapling ensure you staple in this manner as seen on Slide 5

Step 7: Now the inserts facing you, press the staplets on the paper-Slide 6

Step 8: Once all the staplets are secure - You can start using your midori inspired journal to create minialbums or a daily planner :)

Sparkly Hangers

Prep: 10 Mins Crafting Time: 20 mins Tot:30 mins process

Drying time: Few hours

 

Step 1: Gather all your supplies - Wooden Hangers, Mod Podge Glue, Glitter and Brush

Step 2: Start with one side of the hanger - Spread Mod Podge all over

Step 3: Sprinkle Glitter on the wet glue (depending on your speed - I take 6 minutes to spread the glue and sprinkle the glitter)

Step 4:  Continue on the other side - Repeat Steps 2 and 3

Step 5:  Knock the hanger using your hand to release all the glitter that does not stick and cover the patches that needs glitter

Step 6: Leave it to dry (Hang it near a window or fan)

Step 7: After 2-4 hours, spread mod podge all over the dry glitter and leave it to dry. (5 minutes on each sides)

Step 8: Leave it to dry for a few more hours and yeah! you will have a sparkly hanger to display your clothes and other beautiful projects. :)

Boxed it up

Prep: 5 Mins Crafting Time: 25 mins Tot:30 mins

 

Step 1: Gather your supplies: Any box of your preference, Metal Tags (I'm using the one from Jen Hadefield) & Super glue

Step 2: Set up your box. I'm using a box from IKEA

Step 3: Position the metal tags on your box, glue it down and leave it to dry

Step 4:  Label your metal tags accordingly

Step 5:  Display your brand new customised box

 

Honestly; this project takes less than 15 minutes!
